AMY LOUISE TALKS ABOUT LIFE ON THE ROAD AND MORE.
Scottish singer and songwriter, Amy Louise, is deep into her UK tour, going from city to city and stage after stage - showing no signs of slowing down. Amy checked in with Totally Tuneular to speak about life on the road and more!
You’re over half way through your tour right now-what’s been your favourite moment out of the three shows you’ve done?
I’d say my favourite moment out of the 3 shows on tour so far has to be on the first night of the tour in my hometown when it came to the last song and the confetti went off and the audience were all dancing and had their torchlights on their phones, it was such a surreal feeling as it was the first show of the tour and it made me so excited for the the shows to come!
What song are you looking forward to performing the most right now?
I really look forward to performing my unreleased songs as a lot of them are brand new and they’re being sung for the first time on tour! My favourite unreleased song to sing at the moment has to be ‘Made For’ as it’s a song I wrote during all the tour prep and is all about dreaming and being yourself, it’s a song I wrote for little me to be proud of me now, so it’s a very special song to sing and the song is musically inspired by Gracie Abrams.
Do you have any pre-show rituals you’ve leaned on during this tour?
I would say my main pre-show rituals are doing my vocal warm ups and making sure I’m drinking lots of water! I also like to move about quite a bit before going on stage to help with nerves and get into show mode.
What’s been the most random or unexpected part of life on the road so far?
I’d have to say the most random part of life on the road so far has to be when 2 French people came to my Edinburgh gig to see me because AI recommended the gig to them (guess AI is good for something!!)
If fans haven’t seen you live yet, what should they expect when they walk into one of these upcoming shows?
They should expect high energy and emotion, the set is packed with emotional pop ballads, upbeat pop songs and Electronic Dance Music so it’s a mix of music to dance and cry to. The shows are powerful and atmospheric with personal lyrics that everyone can relate to and also lots of fun and crowd participation.
With half the tour still to go, what city or venue are you most hyped for?
I’m so excited for both shows in Manchester and London but I’d have to say I’m most excited for my London show at the Hope & Anchor! I went down to visit the venue before the tour was announced and the staff were all so lovely and welcoming and it made me so excited to perform there! Both venues are very iconic but the Hope & Anchor is very well known in Islington for all the bands that have played there including U2 who played there for the first time to 6 people! So it’s such an honour to be able to have the Hope & Anchor as my London venue
Anything you would like to say to your fans or any upcoming releases?
I’d like to say a massive thank you to my fans!! It still feels so surreal to have fans. At the start of this year I struggled to sell 10 tickets so to meet so many new people and to have people travelling hundreds of miles to come and see the shows and meet me is absolutely insane! I had one fan for my Edinburgh show come from Aberdeen and I have a couple fans coming to the Manchester show from Scotland, so I’m so appreciative of all my fans! They’re the best.
I don’t have any plans at the moment for new releases as I’ve not long released my last single Delusion but there’s plenty more music to come in 2026!
